Oxford appoints registrar, approves fire volunteers and summer-lake prep hours

At its Nov. 13 meeting Oxford Township’s Committee approved a set of local personnel and volunteer items.
Lee Geller was appointed Registrar for the Township (Resolution R-2024-138), effective immediately, with a stipend of $3,500 to be prorated for 2024. The appointment was certified in the meeting record and committee members congratulated Geller on passing the registrar exam.
The committee also approved volunteer firefighter applications for the Oxford Volunteer Fire Department for candidates Glenn Sheaffer and Justin Kovacs; motions to approve both applicants passed by roll call (Ayes: 3).
Separately, Georgette Miller asked that Lake Director Meredith Ferris be permitted to work one to five hours per week to start preparing for the 2025 season; the committee approved Ferris to work up to five hours weekly at her current rate through March 1, 2025.
