Oxford Committee backs two applicants to site cannabis operations at Block 24 Lot 20

Oxford Township’s governing committee on Nov. 13 adopted two resolutions endorsing separate applicants to pursue state cannabis licenses for the same parcel in town.
Resolutions 2024-134 and 2024-135 formally support Andyboone LLC and Summer Wind AG LLC, respectively, in their applications to the New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission (CRC) for a Class 1 Cannabis Cultivator and a Class 2 Cannabis Manufacturer facility at Block 24 Lot 20 within Oxford Township. The resolutions cite the state Marijuana Legalization Amendment and the New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory, Enforcement Assistance, and Marketplace Modernization Act (the CREAMM Act).
Both resolutions note that Oxford’s Ordinance 2021-10 permits Class 1 and Class 2 licensees and that the ordinance does not cap the number of such licensees within the township. The committee’s actions endorse the applicants’ pursuit of state licensure “to the extent permitted by state law” and instruct that any operation must comply with applicable ordinances and state rules.
Georgette Miller moved to approve each resolution; both motions were seconded by Linda Koufodontes and recorded as passing with three ayes and no nays. The resolutions direct the clerk’s certification and forwarding of the adopted text for recordation.
Next steps: endorsement by the local governing body does not itself grant a state license. Each company will need to complete the CRC’s application process and obtain state approval before operating.
