Oldmans Township Committee approves emergency budget transfer, ordinances and multiple contracts

The Oldmans Township Committee on March 12 approved a set of financial and administrative measures aimed at repairing emergency equipment and updating municipal policies.
Mayor William Ferrell III and the five-member committee voted to approve Resolution 2025-53, an emergency temporary budget transfer allocating additional funds for repairs to fire trucks and an ambulance. Committee member Jeff Newman moved to approve; Brian Porch seconded and the motion carried.
The committee adopted Ordinance 2025-02, which raises the municipal budget cap (a ‘‘cap bank’’) by up to 3.5 percent; Resolution 2025-54 recorded final adoption after a public hearing with no public comment. The body also adopted Ordinance 2025-03, amending the 2025 salary ordinance for the Public Works Department to add a stipend for weekend and holiday water testing, via Resolution 2025-55.
In routine business the committee approved payment of bills and several additional vendor charges for the Logan and Auburn volunteer fire companies, and approved vendors’ completed work as presented.
The meeting closed its formal business by approving Resolution 2025-60 to move specified matters into executive session (personnel, contract negotiations). The meeting adjourned at 9:00 p.m.
