The first nomination, for Robert Lee as president, produced a roll-call tie with votes recorded as DeAbreu, Lee and Pollard in favor and Wardlow-Hurley, Wilcox and Wright-McLeod opposed. Rhonda Wardlow-Hurley then nominated Eric J. Wilcox Sr.; that roll call again split 3–3, and Mayor Wardlow cast the deciding vote in favor of Wilcox. The mayor’s tie-breaking vote made the final tally 4–3 in favor of Wilcox.
Robert Lee was later nominated and elected vice president by unanimous vote (6–0) after a separate nomination for Councilperson Steven Pollard was declined by Pollard.
Edward H. Hill, the borough solicitor, performed the swearing-in for the president and vice president. President Eric J. Wilcox Sr. and Vice President Robert Lee offered brief remarks thanking residents and expressing intent to work collaboratively through the borough’s centennial year.
