Lebanon Borough Board accepts 2025 financial report; audit shows no recommendations

The Lebanon Borough Board of Education voted Nov. 11 to accept the June 30, 2025 Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) prepared by Bedard, Kurwicki & Co. CPAs.

The board voted on Action 26-FFP-30 as part of a set of finance items; Danielle Nugent moved the motion and Benedict Valliere seconded. The motion passed on a roll-call vote of 5 ayes, 0 no, 0 abstain.

Why it matters: Acceptance of the ACFR finalizes the district’s year-end financial review and signals that the external audit reported no recommendations requiring corrective action. The minutes list ten audited areas—administrative practices and procedures; financial planning, accounting and reporting; school purchasing programs; application for state school aid; pupil transportation; facilities and capital assets; student body activities; milk program; miscellaneous; and follow-up on prior-year findings—with “no recommendation” recorded for each.

What the board heard: the meeting agenda listed an audit presentation from BKC Public Accountants earlier in the session; the formal acceptance named Bedard, Kurwicki & Co. CPAs as the preparer of the ACFR. The minutes record discussion about reserve funds and interest earned and board appreciation for work in the business office but do not attribute the audit presentation to a specific individual.
