City schedules Water Treatment Plant walkthrough with Bolton & Menk and sets CIP meeting for Aug. 10

City staff and the Utilities Commission will undertake a walkthrough of the Mountain Lake Water Treatment Plant with engineering firm Bolton & Menk to review operations and maintenance needs, according to the council minutes of July 6.
The walkthrough is intended to provide guidance for scheduling and budgeting future equipment maintenance, to recommend process testing and analysis and to focus particularly on the plant’s reverse osmosis (RO) system. The minutes report that the walkthrough will inform staff and the Utilities Commission as they plan operations and capital needs.
Separately, the council set the Capital Improvement Plan meeting for Aug. 10, 2026, from 3:30–5:30 p.m. During the budget process, department heads will present proposed operating budgets and CIP items for council review.
