Routt County Board of Adjustment schedules more hearings, elects new chair and vice-chair

At its May 11, 2026 meeting, the Routt County Board of Adjustment heard an administrator’s report from Planning Director Kristy Winser, elected new officers for the coming year, and closed its business for the evening.
Winser told the board that several adjustment applications are in the pipeline and that meetings are likely in both June and July; she said one upcoming application is controversial and likely will merit an organized site visit. Winser also reported that a training session was rescheduled to June 18.
Winser announced that Chairman Don Prowant will move to Pennsylvania in the fall. Board members George Blau and Lyle Krug volunteered to serve as Chair and Vice-chair, respectively; Brian Kelly moved to elect Blau and Krug, Don Prowant seconded, and the motion carried 5–0.
The board adjourned at 7:10 p.m.
