The Scott County Board of Supervisors on July 2 approved an 11-item consent agenda that authorized a series of contracts, purchases and grant-related actions totaling multiple hundreds of thousands of dollars and routine administrative approvals.
Supervisor Dickson moved and Supervisor Beck seconded the consent agenda, which passed by roll call with all supervisors voting aye. Items approved included a Youth Center contract with Children and Families of Iowa through June 30, 2027; a Model Year 2027 Chevrolet Equinox for the Sheriff’s Office at $34,224.98 and a Model Year 2027 Ford Explorer for the Secondary Roads Department at $40,397.00; a John Deere 624P wheel loader purchase for $212,000.00 after a $55,000 trade-in value; and the award of the Jail Boiler Replacement Project bid to Crawford and Company for $389,052.00.
The Board also recorded a warehouse emergency repair for $21,011.44 and authorized the IT Director to sign a 10-year Motorola Solutions CommandCentral DEMS SaaS subscription with implementation and year-one costs of $161,902.72 and years two through ten costs not to exceed $102,318.97 annually. The Treasurer’s Office fiber installation contract with CDB Utility Contractors for $46,312.30 and a one-year NeoGov HR suite subscription with Governmentjobs.com, Inc. for $40,917.29 were approved, along with authorization related to a Homelessness Operations CDBG-CV grant that identifies Humility Homes and Services, Incorporated as the subgrantee. The board approved warrants totaling $1,923,481.31 and purchase card transactions of $157,687.99.
The consent approvals give department managers and directors delegated authority to complete the purchases and sign contract documents where noted; routine administrative follow-up and publication steps were referenced in the meeting record.
