Palmyra Board approves police MOAs, adopts 2025–26 calendar and renames GSA

The Palmyra Board of Education voted Dec. 11 to approve policy and curriculum items recommended by the Superintendent, including two agreements with the Palmyra Borough Police Department, the district calendar for 2025–26, and a name change for a student organization. The two agreements listed on the agenda are an MOA (Memorandum of Agreement) and an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) that include access to livestream video for the 2024–25 school year.
The board also formally approved the 2025–26 District Calendar and granted a request to change the name of the PMS/PHS Gay/Straight Alliance to the Palmyra LGBTQ+ Alliance. Committee reports preceding the vote noted that the Policy & Curriculum committee met Dec. 4 to review schedule proposals, MOAs listed on the agenda, the district calendar and upcoming fundraisers.
