The Superintendent had framed the contracting items as part of ongoing construction work for Palmyra Middle/High School and Charles Street School; the district update at the meeting noted roof, track and playground projects underway or planned. Ms. Austin, who reported for the Finance & Physical Plant committee (Dec. 4), told the board the committee had reviewed a proposal from HESP Solar for a Power Purchase Agreement before it was placed on the agenda.
Board documents placed on the record state that a copy of the action and the contracts will be filed with the Board Secretary and that notice of the awards will be published in accordance with the Public-School Contracts Law. A public commenter asked that the Underwood Engineering item be discussed in the context of bond referendum projects before the vote; district staff clarified the contract’s connection to those projects.
