The Chair opened the meeting with routine approvals, moving and securing approval of minutes, claims and the evening’s agenda by voice vote. The Chair reported that the city has "re-energized" an after-school program run with the police, fire and the mayor’s youth council through the PCC center and said the program had "over 40 some kids" on its first day. The Chair also provided a dog-park update, saying overseeding is complete, fixtures will be installed, and the city is coordinating with the Humane Society on key fobs; an amendment to the fee schedule for key-fob purchases will be brought forward.
On a request to remove a tree in a public easement, a resident told the Authority they had consulted an arborist who approved removal and said the homeowners would pay for the work. The Chair moved to grant the removal of the tree at the address read into the record (transcript reads as 7798 Tanager Street; spelling and numbering in the record is inconsistent) and the motion passed by voice vote. The resident told the board the homeowners "are gonna take it down on their dime."
The Authority approved a refund for building permit number 2657 and approved a staff recommendation to release a developer performance bond for work associated with "Lumen's Logistics" once a maintenance bond is in place. On an unsafe-building order for a property at 300 West Old Bridge Road, a staff member reported that the property owner (Mr. Cox) had submitted paperwork for a one-lot subdivision and that, upon planning-commission approval, he would remove the house; the Authority set the matter over to April 15 for follow-up.
The Chair called for announcements and then moved to adjourn; the motion carried by voice vote.
