Planning body approves Racetrack Inc. final plat and amended site plan

The Hobart planning board approved the final plat and accepted an amended site plan for Racetrack Incorporated (petition 25‑38) after the applicant told the commission staff comments had been addressed.
Ben Sumeet of Polar Engineering described the submission as a consolidation of prior approvals and said outstanding staff revisions, highway dedications, easements and traffic‑related roadway improvements had been incorporated. He told the board the traffic analysis supports the proposed turn lane and additional culverts and that the plat reflects required roadway dedications.
"We've been working closely with the city in the past couple of weeks to address all the comments that staff had," Sumeet said, and asked for final plat approval.
A motion to grant final plat approval and accept the amended site plan was moved, seconded and approved on a voice vote. Staff asked the applicant to provide finalized drawings with minor edits noted at the meeting.
The approval clears the way for the applicant to proceed with next steps in the permitting and construction process, subject to the standard engineering signoffs and any remaining ministerial conditions.
