At the March 16 meeting the Brimfield Township Board of Trustees approved several administrative contracts and a small property purchase.
Trustees accepted a Lewis Landscaping contract and approved a cleaning-services agreement with Clean Management LLC for township facilities at a cost not to exceed $35,500 per year. The board also set Town Center Fields rental at $2,000 per season and approved fertilization of the Town Center Fields by Portage Turf and Pest. Trustee Kevin Scott moved each of these motions and Trustee Sue Fields seconded; all passed by roll call votes.
The board approved a one-year Barracuda email-protection contract at a cost not to exceed $9,752.40; the motion passed with Trustees Coia and Scott voting yea and Trustee Fields recorded as abstaining.
Trustees also approved a purchase agreement with the Portage County Land Bank for 1203 Doralee Drive for $100. A public commenter later questioned the property purchase during the public-comment period.
All contracts were approved on recorded roll call votes as shown in the minutes; the record does not include contract start dates beyond the one-year IT contract or provide vendor scopes beyond the procurement descriptions recorded.
