Board approves bidding for 38th Place stormwater work and reissues County Line culvert bid

Moderator (S3) explained the schedule: advertise in local papers, hold a pre‑bid conference, open bids in early May and seek award at the May 12 board meeting. Staff said the pre‑bid conference will be at the municipal offices and noted some permits (DNR) and right‑of‑entry issues remain to be secured for outfalls and easements.
Board members asked for clarity on whether culvert replacement under the railroad would be done in phases or as a single emergency replacement; staff said Phase 3 (railroad crossing) may require separate permitting and could be phased depending on cost and railroad coordination.
The motion to proceed with advertising and reissuing bid documents passed on a voice vote. Staff will return with bid results and recommended award.
