She told council that the application is consistent with chapters 7 and 8 of the town’s Comprehensive Plan and that the Planning Commission voted 7–0 to recommend approval at its March 25 meeting.
Mayor George Stubbs opened the public hearing; no members of the public spoke. Councilman Walter Bernacki moved to approve the permit and Councilman “Gibbie” Dowdy seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
