Chesterfield posts candidate filing window and open seats for 2026

The committee reviewed a posted list of open elected positions and terms: two three-year seats on the Board of Selectmen; three three-year and one two-year Budget Committee seats; one three-year Cemetery Commission seat; two three-year Library Trustee seats; Supervisor of the Checklist (six-year term); one-year seats for Tax Collector and Treasurer; and one three-year Trustee of the Trust Fund seat. The agenda item served as public notice to residents of filing dates and vacancies.
The committee did not take formal action on the list; residents were directed to the Town Clerk for filing procedures and deadlines.
