The Mason Consolidated Schools Board of Education on July 9 approved a $86,390 quote from Tanner Supply Company to replace entrance doors and renovate the school vestibule and voted to enter cooperative service agreements with the Monroe County Intermediate School District (MCISD) for technology and business services.
The motions were moved and seconded on the consent portion of the agenda. The Tanner Supply Company contract was advanced by board member Grodi and supported by John Waller; the motion carried 7-0. Earlier motions to approve cooperative agreements with MCISD for Technology Services (moved by Waller, supported by Fowler) and for Business Services (moved by Grodi, supported by Nehrig) each passed 7-0.
Board members raised no questions during presentation of the check register and financial reports, which President Otting presented before the consent items. The board did not record public comment on the facility or services items.
The approvals mean the district will use MCISD services for the noted administrative and technology functions and proceed with the entrance doors and vestibule project under the awarded quote. The motion records do not specify contract timelines, warranty terms, or funding sources for the work.
