Planning Board conditionally re-adopts Master Plan elements and approves Climate Change assessment; survey shows 550 responses

Vice-Chair Andrew Jackson presented the Master Plan Committee’s updates at the Jan. 14, 2026 meeting, asking the board to conditionally re-adopt four Master Plan elements: the Utility Services Plan, Open Space and Recreation Plan, Community Facilities and Services Plan, and Relation to Other Plans element. A memo with the updates was posted to the borough website. The board voted unanimously to conditionally re-adopt those elements.
Jackson also reviewed the Climate Change and Vulnerability Assessment Plan element, acknowledged contributors (including Nick and Kati Angarone, Environmental Commission members and former member Yasmine Zein) and directed members to the posted document. The board unanimously adopted the Climate Change and Vulnerability Assessment Plan element.
Committee member Amy Kassler-Taub summarized Master Plan survey results, reporting 550 responses from Pennington Borough and Hopewell Township residents and business owners and outlining what residents valued and housing-related input gathered in the survey. Jackson and other board members acknowledged the contributions of committee members and volunteers who assisted with the Master Plan work. The board approved the Nov. 12, 2025 meeting minutes (with amendments) before adjourning at 9:00 p.m.
