Article 12 and related warrant items: Committee members also described Article 12 (allowing social districts where patrons may carry alcoholic beverages within defined zones) and scheduled a public hearing on Feb. 19 to define boundaries and rules. The committee discussed other articles including tax‑exemption updates (elderly, disabled, blind) and Article 24 establishing a commercial property assessed clean energy and resilience (PACE) district under RSA Chapter 53‑F; proponents said businesses have expressed interest and that the town would have minimal administrative impact.
The Budget Committee recorded its recommendations on these articles by unanimous votes where recorded and will forward its recommendations to the select board before town meeting.
