The Brown County Board of Commissioners approved several routine items during its April 27 meeting and set a deadline for alternative insurance proposals.
Commissioner Richard Tesoriero moved to approve the April 20, 2026 minutes; Commissioner William Pollock seconded and the motion carried. Chairman Lucas Heinen moved to approve a Property Use Agreement from Natalie Brammer for use of the northeast Courthouse lawn on May 1, 2026, for a Homemade Bliss cookie pop-up; the motion was seconded by Commissioner William Pollock and carried. The commission approved a revised Buried Dig Permit following a motion by Chairman Heinen and a second by Commissioner Tesoriero. Tax Change Orders 2025-83 and 2025-91 were signed and recorded.
On employee benefits, Chairman Heinen moved that OneDigital, Amberwell Hospital, and Saylor Insurance be informed that preliminary alternative health insurance options must be received by June 15, 2026, and tasked the County Counselor to contact the three entities; Commissioner Tesoriero seconded and the motion carried. Stanfield roof spring inspection reports and suggested repairs were presented; the commission took no action and Commissioner Tesoriero will follow up with a Stanfield Roof representative. The commission adjourned the regular session at 3:49 p.m.
