Council approves river pump repair and authorizes surplus of obsolete radar units

Council moved, seconded and passed the acceptance; staff estimated parts-dependent repair timing of roughly 6—8 weeks.
Separately, the Police Chief explained 10 radar units had reached the end of their service life, some in nearly 20 years of service, and manufacturers no longer support replacement parts. Surplusing the devices will permit trade-in opportunities and reduce the cost of new units. Council approved surplusing by a 6-0 vote; the chief said replacement procurement would follow and they had not yet purchased new units.
