The Emmitsburg Planning & Zoning Commission completed its annual reorganization at a brief meeting on Feb. 24, 2026, electing Tim O'Donnell as chair, Silas Bocaj as vice chair and David Wilt as secretary.
The session opened at 7:00 p.m. with a pledge of allegiance and roll-call-style introductions. The chair invited nominations for officers; a committee member nominated Tim O'Donnell for chair, the nomination was seconded and members voiced their support. The chair later announced the commission's officer slate for 2026.
Members followed by nominating and approving a vice chair and a secretary. The commission dubbed Silas Bocaj as vice chair after a motion and voice vote, and David Wilt was nominated and approved as secretary. The chair summarized the reorganization results to confirm the slate.
The commission also moved to accept minutes from the Nov. 24, 2025 meeting. A motion to approve the minutes was seconded; the commission voted in favor with one member abstaining because they had missed that prior meeting.
Staff said the commission's annual report will be brought to the next meeting for members to review and potentially approve before it is submitted to the board and then to the state. No new or old business items were presented at the Feb. 24 session.
A motion to adjourn was approved and the meeting ended at 7:10 p.m.
The meeting included one member participating via Zoom (Mr. Scherer).
