Council reviews survey bids for Dulce Hall; lowest estimate to be placed on next agenda

At the July 6 Lebanon City Council Committee meeting, councilors reviewed bids to survey Dulce Hall and agreed to advance the lowest estimate to the next agenda for formal approval.
Staff reported three estimates: TWN proposed about $2,700 to set the boundary and draw a plat; a second firm (transcribed as Carlson Claxton/Claxton) submitted a baseline estimate of roughly $2,450 but would add about $1,200 to prepare plats and drawings (bringing that option to about $3,600); another estimate reported to council was approximately $3,500. The chair and councilors said they had enough information to make a recommendation and instructed staff to place TWN’s estimate on next week’s agenda.
Several councilors stressed the importance of knowing exact boundaries regardless of what the city ultimately decides to do with the building: “No matter what we decide to do with the building, we need to have the corner state and plot map,” the chair said.
What happens next: Staff will prepare an agenda item asking the council to authorize the selected survey vendor and estimated cost at the next meeting.
