Kandiyohi council accepts 2025 audited financial statements, auditors' management letter

The Kandiyohi City Council on June 15 accepted the 2025 auditor-prepared financial statements and the auditors' management letter following a presentation by Marisa Austin, CPA of CDS.
Austin summarized the city’s statement of net position and fund cash and investment balances for the general, water, sewer and storm sewer funds and offered general recommendations. Council Member Jeff Clark moved to approve the 2025 financial statements, the management letter, and the adjusting general journal entries to close out 2025; Council Member Toby Giese seconded and the motion carried.
The minutes state the 2025 Auditor-prepared financial statements are available at the City Office for public review. Council did not vote on or discuss specific adjustments at the meeting beyond approving the entries to close the year.
