Plumsted board accepts NJQSAC "performing" ratings, approves safety and preschool plans

At the Nov. 13 meeting the Plumsted Township Board of Education voted to accept the New Jersey Department of Education’s NJQSAC assessment, which the minutes list as an initial placement of ‘performing’ with the following component scores: Instruction 79%, Fiscal Management 94%, Governance 93%, Operations 93% and Personnel 100%.
The board also approved the 2024–2025 District Nursing Service Plan, the 2024–2025 District Emergency Operations Procedure Manual (Safety and Security), the Comprehensive Maintenance Plan submission to the NJDOE, the Health and Safety Evaluation of School Building Checklist and Annual Statement of Assurance, and the Preschool Operational Plan and projected enrollment for 2025–2026. The board approved the Language Instruction Educational Program (LIEP) three-year plan and authorized an Early Childhood Advisory Committee to support the preschool program and transitions through grade three.
Other district items approved included receipt of the HIB report and several field-trip and extracurricular approvals; the board also approved New Egypt Middle School’s termination of BSCL membership and its move to the Middle School Shore Conference beginning in 2025–2026.
The motions were approved on a unanimous roll call (six yes, one absence). The minutes do not include narrative deliberation on the NJQSAC findings; the record reflects the board’s formal acceptance of the assessment and administrative plans.
