Plumsted board approves new hires, appoints district security guard and eliminates school treasurer role

At its Aug. 14 meeting the Plumsted Township Board of Education approved a slate of personnel items for the 2024–2025 school year, including new teacher hires, paraprofessional appointments, a district registered behavioral technician, and a district school security guard.
The personnel motions (B.1–B.25) included a medical leave for Lynn Pryzbylkowski from Oct. 22–Dec. 2, 2024 using 26 sick days, acceptance of the resignation of Pamela Conti (Preschool Paraprofessional), and approval of new hires such as Heather Dey and Rachel Katz with stated salaries and step placements (pending completion of application processes and criminal-history clearances). The board approved Shamra Coposky as a District Registered Behavioral Technician and Marco Peralta as District School Security Guard at a salary of $52,700, both effective Sept. 1, 2024.
As part of the personnel block, the board also approved renewal of non-affiliated staff salaries, stipends and extracurricular staff lists, ESY staffing ratifications, bus aides, and rates for curriculum-writing compensation; many of these items are noted as per attached documents that were not included in the minutes. The board also approved the elimination of the School Treasurer position effective July 1, 2024 and rescinded Mark Dyba as the Middle School Boys Soccer Coach.
