Mayor Monica Giberson told council that the Planning Board will work on the Master Plan update that is due this year and asked councilmembers to forward any suggested changes to the board.
Construction Official Pat Naticchione submitted January reports showing 10 inspections and 17 permits issued: 12 alterations and 5 zoning permits; there were no demolitions, new buildings or additions recorded for the month. Councilmembers were informed of ongoing code-enforcement follow-up at 177 Chestnut Neck Road related to an unresolved dumpster and business activity at a dwelling.
Councilmember Eugene Hawn also reported Fire Department activity, including a large residential fire in Galloway on Feb. 8 and the department's installation dinner on Feb. 7; he noted the department's May dinner is scheduled for May 9.
