The Waldo Water & Sewer Utility Board met April 13, 2026. President Travis Thomas called the meeting to order at 6:53 p.m., and the board approved meeting minutes, a financial report and monthly vouchers totaling $168,231.79 before adjourning at 7:08 p.m.
Operator-in-Charge Bruce Neerhof, participating by phone, reported that all effluent parameters at the wastewater treatment plant met permit limits and that infiltration into the sewer collection system remained at an acceptable level. Neerhof said the district had increased the alum dose to try to lower effluent phosphorus concentrations and that the 2025 Consumer Confidence Report had been completed. He also reported that a phosphorus report was submitted to the DNR as required by the WPDES permit and that audit questions remain with Dave Hamann for the PSC report. Neerhof said the water tower project was scheduled to begin Monday, April 13, 2026.
On procedural items, Trustee Michael Hintz moved and Trustee Jerome Hammarlund seconded approval of the March 9, 2026 meeting minutes; the motion carried. Trustee Dennis Reinemann moved and Trustee Hammarlund seconded approval of the financial report as presented; the motion carried.
The board approved paying vouchers 9457, 9468-9475 and ACH2601-2602 in the amount of $168,231.79 after a motion from Trustee Reinemann and a second from Trustee Hammarlund. The minutes record that each motion "carried" but do not list roll-call vote counts.
Clerk/Treasurer Lisa Gillette confirmed the meeting complied with the Open Meetings Law. No public comment or correspondence were recorded, and no items were proposed for the next meeting. Trustee Joshua Behr moved to adjourn at 7:08 p.m.; Trustee Hammarlund seconded and the motion carried.
