Waldo trustees waive Memorial Hall fee, grant temporary beer license for March brat fry

The Village of Waldo Board of Trustees on Feb. 16 approved two measures to support the Waldo Fire Department’s fundraiser: a waiver of the Memorial Hall rental fee and a Temporary Class B license to sell malt beverages at the department’s brat fry.
Trustee Michael Hintz moved to waive the Memorial Hall rental fee for the event; Trustee Jerome Hammarlund seconded and the motion carried. The board then approved a Temporary Class B license permitting sales on March 8, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Memorial Hall, 308 W First St. Clerk/Treasurer Lisa Gillette certified that the meeting complied with the Open Meetings Law before the board took action.
The approvals were routine motions on the consent-style agenda. Trustees present for the meeting were Joshua Behr, Jerome Hammarlund, Dennis Reinemann, Michael Hintz and President Travis Thomas; Village Attorney Nate Jung attended and Operator In Charge Bruce Neerhof participated by phone.
The board did not record a roll-call vote count in the meeting minutes beyond noting that each motion "carried." The meeting adjourned at 6:15 p.m.
