Port Royal approves annexation and T3 rezoning for 8.42-acre Mudbar Road parcel

After motions and seconds, the council approved each ordinance by voice vote. No roll-call tallies were recorded in the meeting transcript; members voted "aye."
A public commenter told council that the site would make a good birding center and thanked staff for their work during the annexation review. Council members characterized the approvals as consistent with the town’s planning goals and expressed enthusiasm for how the property could be used.
The ordinances were approved on second reading; the town staff will process the filings required to complete the annexation and zoning change.
