At its Sept. 30, 2024 meeting the RSU 82/MSAD 12 Board of Directors approved recommendations to distribute scholarship funds held by the Maine Community Foundation.
The board recorded motions to recommend distributions of up to $10,000 from the Stephen Coleman Memorial Scholarship, up to $1,400 from an Anonymous Scholarship, and up to $100 from the Chamber of Commerce Scholarship. Jean Turner moved the recommendation and Jasmine Bradford was recorded as second; the motion passed with a vote of Y 5 N 0 A 0.
Separately, the board considered a motion to enter executive session to discuss appointing committee members, citing 1 M.R.S.A. 405(6)(A). A motion to table that request until October passed (Motion: Linda Griffin; Second: Jasmine Bradford; Vote recorded Y 5 N 0 A 0).
