Wagner proposed concreting the areas between softball/baseball Field 1 and Field 2 and behind Field 3’s backstop to address settled gravel areas that form standing water after heavy rain and cannot sustain grass under heavy league and tournament traffic. Staff said these areas have repeatedly caused maintenance problems and that grading and grass repairs have been ineffective.
Alderwoman Robin Huels moved to approve the change order; Alderman Jimmy Lange seconded and the committee approved the expenditures unanimously. The work will be added to the existing 2026 Park Concrete Replacement contract and brought to the Board as a formal change order for ratification.
