Planning manager Kristen Komen told the board that not all historic plaques have shipped yet but that the remaining plaques are expected within the next two weeks. Staff intends to hold a brief presentation at the August meeting to recognize recipients and distribute plaques to those who can attend; pickup options at City Hall will be made available for others.
Komen said she had seen the first batch and that about 26 recipients accepted plaques in the initial rollout. The board supported a short recognition at the August meeting and staff said it would coordinate logistics.
The update was informational; no formal action was taken.
