EAC to edit Bird Town resolution and mission statement ahead of Board review

Kathryn Townsend said the Bird Town resolution was not on the Feb. 13 Board of Supervisors agenda and that she will edit the resolution for the Board’s April meeting, using a sample resolution provided by an attendee identified as Tammy. The Bird Town item is scheduled on the Board of Supervisors agenda for April 10, 2025.
EAC members discussed edits to the council’s mission statement. A participant named Jerdon asked that the mission statement be edited to be less farm-focused and more community-focused; another participant, Najarian, requested the inclusion of the phrase “agricultural resources.” The minutes note that two edited bylaws options are available for the council to consider.
