Road master reports winter work; board approves truck‑restriction sign and authorizes small park purchases

Road Master Matt Henderson briefed the Lynn Township supervisors on January maintenance and February plans during the Feb. 13 meeting.
Henderson reported January activities that included salting and plowing roads and the park, washing and maintaining trucks, installing four "DANGER ICE" signs at the park, placing stone on dirt roads, installing two additional "NO PARKING" signs on Lincoln Court, and routine shop work. For February he said crews will continue salting and plowing, inspect and clean drain pipes, review the Ross Valley bridge inspection, repair loader tires, accept a salt delivery and install park benches and a well pump at the maintenance shed.
On motions from the board, supervisors approved purchasing a road sign restricting truck size for Blue Mountain House and Leaser Road. The board also discussed locating a mobile fuel storage option at Ontelaunee Park; Ronald Jerdon recommended a mobile tank instead of a stationary tank for fueling a township truck. The board authorized Road Master Henderson to make purchases up to $500 without seeking further board approval.
What happens next: Henderson will pursue procurement options for the mobile fuel tank and manage scheduled winter maintenance and bridge inspection follow‑ups.
