Lynn Township reappoints officers and municipal professionals during Jan. 6 re-organization meeting

The Lynn Township Board of Supervisors unanimously reappointed officers and municipal professionals, set the 2025 meeting calendar, and reminded officials to file required oaths and financial-interest forms. Several committee and inspector appointments were also finalized.
Brian C. Dietrich presided as the Lynn Township Board of Supervisors opened its Jan. 6, 2025 re-organization meeting and reappointed officers and municipal professionals for the year.
The board accepted the Dec. 30, 2024 close-out minutes and directed the treasurer to pay bills as they become due after a motion by Supervisor Ronald Jerdon and a second from Frederick (Fritz) Najarian; the motion carried unanimously. Following temporary appointments to conduct the meeting, the board formally reappointed Brian C. Dietrich as chairman, Fritz Najarian as vice chairman, Tammy M. White as secretary/treasurer and Trish Burkhardt as assistant secretary/treasurer; each motion passed unanimously.
The supervisors also appointed municipal professionals and inspectors. Gross McGinley LLP (Marc Fisher) was named township solicitor; Keystone Consulting Engineers was appointed township engineer and sewage enforcement officer (SEO); Keystone was also designated zoning officer (Jim Macort). The board reappointed inspection agencies Barry Isett, Keller Zoning, and Lehigh Valley Inspections and recorded that applicants must select one inspection agency at the time of application. Ryan Wessner was appointed building code official. Re-appointments by resolution included Planning Commission members Bill Dellicker and Perry Long, Zoning Hearing Board member Bob Bartholomew and alternate Cody Snyder, and Building Code of Appeals member Jeff Christman.
The board recorded additional committee and representative appointments: Robert Sayre to the Environmental Advisory Council; farmland preservation representatives including Brian C. Dietrich and Fritz Najarian; Berkheimer & Associates was reappointed as the earned-income tax collector; and supervisors were named representatives to regional bodies including the Northwestern Recreation Commission, Agricultural Security Committee and the Jordan Creek Watershed Committee (Act 167). The Crime Watch program was made inactive by motion.
The board set regular 2025 meeting dates for the second Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m., scheduled the budget meeting and close-out meeting, and noted which neighboring townships will handle legal advertising for 2025. Newly appointed or elected officials were reminded to return notarized Oath of Office forms and Statements of Financial Interest by May 1, 2024, as recorded in the minutes.
The meeting adjourned at 7:24 p.m.; the board announced the next regular meeting for Feb. 13, 2025 at 6:30 p.m.
