During the Aug. 8 meeting, Member Ronald Jerdon reported a prior site discussion with Brian Hite of the Lehigh Valley Planning Commission (LVPC) and consultant Marvin V. Ta of Pennoni regarding safety concerns at the intersection of Holbens Valley Road and Schochary Road.
Mr. Jerdon said Mr. Hite would arrange a meeting with PennDOT to review potential improvements. Those present noted that, if upgrades are implemented, PennDOT would bear the financial responsibility for the work. No specific engineering design, scope, or timeline was adopted at the meeting; minutes record the board’s intention to pursue coordination and further review with state officials.
