On May 26, 2026, the Fulton City Planning & Zoning Commission voted to recommend approval of a boundary adjustment plat that would combine the parcels at 208 and 216 St. Louis Avenue into a single legal tract so a future building permit can be issued.
Staff explained the change is administrative: exterior boundary lines would not be altered, but combining the two legal descriptions is necessary because a building permit cannot be issued across separate legal property descriptions. Staff also noted the plat documents include certification language that requires presentation to the City Council before the plat can be recorded.
Commissioner Lewis Beaty moved to recommend approval; Commissioner Mike Eibel seconded. The motion carried with all members present voting in favor.
The commission’s recommendation is advisory; the City Council must review and approve the plat before recording. No public hearing was recorded on this item at the May 26 meeting.
The commission tentatively scheduled its next meeting for June 9, 2026, where Council consideration may be discussed further if requested.
