New Lebanon council approves June minutes; trustee offers township road support

Mayor Nickerson welcomed Jackson Township trustee Jim Erisman to the podium. Erisman said he appreciated the votes in November and offered Jackson Township's road department as a resource to New Lebanon for equipment or breakdown assistance, saying, "If you need anything, just feel free to call us, and, we'll see what we can do to help you guys." He also thanked residents who attended a recent community event in Collinsville.
The mayor then introduced the law director, Mr. McNamee, who informed the council that he had distributed three memos earlier in the day. McNamee said he would review two memos in detail and provide highlights of the third; copies were placed in the back for public review. The law director framed this as a pre-meeting protocol and counsel review rather than as an action the council needed to vote on at that time.
Roll call earlier in the meeting recorded Vice Mayor Cooper and council members Bach, Joy, Sexton and Wilder as present alongside Mayor Nickerson. The meeting proceeded after the recognitions and the law director’s brief remarks.
The council did not take additional formal votes on the matters discussed during these presentations; the meeting agenda continued with the law director's review of his memos.
