Council discusses noise complaints, North Marina use and a possible coordinated fireworks event

A resident complaint about heavy truck engine brakes in the Wildflower community was raised; staff said they received an email from a resident (Garrett Cousins) and will follow up with the streets and engineering departments. Committee member (Speaker 1) asked for signage or enforcement if the problem persists.
Committee member (Speaker 7) reported that the North Marina had a soft opening that drew substantial use and suggested the council consider adding picnic tables and benches and possibly funding them through an upcoming recreation/wrap-tax discussion.
Members also discussed public interest in a larger fireworks event on the water in coordination with neighboring cities and asked staff to return with cost comparisons; a council member asked staff to provide numbers comparing current splash-day fireworks costs to a larger Fourth of July maritime event.
At the close of comments the chair confirmed no closed session and the council adjourned.
