Policies reviewed included: 2460/R2460 (Special Education), 2464/R2464 (Gifted and Talented Students), 2466 (Needless Public Labeling of Students with Disabilities), 2467 (Surrogate Parents and Resource Family Parents), 3214 (Conflict of Interest), 3216 (Dress and Grooming), 3217 (Use of Corporal Punishment), 3218/R3218 (Use, Possession, or Distribution of Substances), 4124 (Employment Contract), 4125 (Employment of Support Staff Members), 4140 (Termination), 4145 (Layoffs), 4150 (Discipline), 5112 (Entrance Age), 5117/R5117 (Interdistrict Public School Choice), and 5120 (Assignment of Students).
The administration flagged these policies for board review; no formal votes were recorded during the workshop on these items. The board will consider next steps at upcoming meetings.
