Following the presentation, the board unanimously authorized $4,000 from township funds for the project in 2025 (motion by Frederick Najarian, seconded by Ronald Jerdon). Separately, the board thanked Blue Triton (Nestle9 Waters) for a $15,000 donation to Ontelaunee Park for 2024.
Supervisors said the committee and township will continue to pursue fundraising and will discuss further budget implications at upcoming meetings.
The authorization is an initial pledge for 2025 and does not obligate additional future funding; the larger project financing remains subject to committee fundraising and future board approvals.
