Lynn Township keeps 2025 tax rate at 0.2 mills, advertises draft budget for public review

The Lynn Township Board of Supervisors unanimously approved Resolution 2024-22 on Nov. 14, fixing the townships tax rate for 2025 at 0.2 mills and directing advertisement of the draft 2025 budget for public review.
Vice Chairman Frederick Najarian moved to approve the resolution and Supervisor Ronald Jerdon seconded; the motion carried unanimously. The board also voted to advertise the draft 2025 budget, which the board said will reflect a $4,000 allocation to the Veterans Memorial Committee. Adoption of the budget is scheduled for the Dec. 12, 2024 meeting.
Secretary/Treasurer Tammy M. White presented account balances and income/expense details for November, noting the townships General Fund balance and other reserve accounts. The financial report showed multiple restricted funds and a detailed income and expense listing for October and November.
The board provided procedural guidance for residents to review the advertised draft before the Dec. 12 adoption vote. No public comment objecting to the tax rate or the budget was recorded at the Nov. 14 meeting.
The boards next scheduled meeting for formal adoption of the budget is Dec. 12, 2024.
