Two local candidates outline priorities at District 6 meeting

Two candidates addressed the Great Falls Neighborhood Council District 6 on May 6.
Rebecca Bogden-Richards, who said she is a fourth‑generation Montanan and a candidate for HD 23, introduced herself and listed 12 years of executive experience. She told the council she plans to prioritize health‑care issues — especially services for children with disabilities — and public‑school concerns.
Mindy Kahle, a candidate for Cascade County Sheriff, described 30 years of law‑enforcement service in roles including deputy sheriff, work for the district attorney’s office, sex‑crimes investigation, family protection, booking, K‑9 duties and hostage negotiation. Kahle told the council her main concerns include detention‑center staffing and retention; she said she would look for local candidates for positions and pursue programs to integrate volunteers for training and instruction.
During the public comment period Cherry Loney thanked Chairperson Rick Cornellier for work that led to approval of annexation and burn‑permit changes for Upper and Lower River Road effective March 1, 2026. No endorsements or formal actions occurred at the meeting.
