Field trip: the board approved a motion to allow the Winthrop High School Outings Club to travel to Adventure Bound (The Forks/Caratunk) for a whitewater and outdoor weekend, May 15–17, 2026. The motion was moved by a board member (S9) and seconded (S10). Kristen Kaiser, art teacher and outdoor advisor, described the program, supervision, activities (hiking, canoeing, ropes course, rock climbing, two nights camping) and noted she would accompany the students.
Administrators’ contract: following an executive session held under 1 MRSA §405(6)(D), the board moved to ratify an agreement between the Winthrop School Board and the Winthrop Administrators Association (MEANEA) dated 07/01/2026–07/30/2029; the motion was moved (S9), seconded (S10) and carried unanimously on the record.
