Dr. Foley described Shorette’s 25 years in education, including principal and superintendent experience; Shorette thanked the board and said he looks forward to starting in July.
The board also approved a new job description for an executive administrative coordinator that formalizes a combined role for the director of transportation and an assistant to the superintendent; Dr. Foley said the restructure produces significant cost savings, estimating more than $100,000 annually. The board moved, seconded and approved the job description.
What’s next: Aaron Storz will serve through Dec. 31, 2026; Jay Shorette is expected to start in July; administrators will implement the approved job description as outlined by the superintendent.
