The River Ridge Community Development District Board adopted the Fiscal Year 2024/2025 budget and approved a resolution imposing special assessments during its Aug. 27 meeting.
Mrs. Cleo Adams, the district manager, opened a public hearing on the budget and reported that the budget in the agenda contained scrivener errors; staff corrected a street-sweeping description and other items before bringing the matter back to the Board. No property owners or members of the public spoke during the hearing. On a motion by Assistant Secretary Kurt Blumenthal, seconded by Assistant Secretary Robert Twombly, the Board adopted Resolution 2024-07 ‘‘Relating to the Annual Appropriations and Adopting the Budget(s) for the Fiscal Year Beginning October 1, 2024, and Ending September 30, 2025,’’ as amended and authorized budget amendments.
The Board then opened and closed a public hearing on Resolution 2024-08, making a determination of benefit and imposing special assessments for Fiscal Year 2024/2025. Counsel recommended and the Board approved removing all references to “Exhibit B” from the resolution. On a motion by Mr. Blumenthal, seconded by Mr. Twombly, Resolution 2024-08 was adopted as amended. Both votes were recorded “with all in favor.”
The actions finalize the district’s spending plan for the coming fiscal year and certify the assessment roll for collection and enforcement; staff will post the adopted budget and process assessment collection in accordance with the resolutions.
