Webster planning board recommends ordinance review; Planning Board member resigns; Halloween volunteers set

At the Sept. 20 planning session, Vice Mayor Leigh Anne Young reported the Planning Board met in September and recommended that the Town Board consider an ordinance review. The Planning Board is obtaining an estimate of Webster’s extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ) population to ensure proportional representation on boards. Vice Mayor Young also shared that Sara Stahlman has said she will resign from the Planning Board.
The board discussed community events: volunteers (including Brandon McDevitt and an individual named Michael) will staff Town Hall for Halloween, with Commissioner Brandon Core offering to set up a table and canopy and Town Clerk Stephanie to buy at least six to seven bags of candy. The Historical Society’s caroling was scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 21 to avoid conflicts with Dillsboro events earlier in December.
Procedural business included noting that Commissioners Leigh Anne Young and Dale Collins will not be able to attend the Oct. 4 meeting. The meeting adjourned at 2:10 p.m.
