Webster board approves agenda and August minutes, reviews August finances

The Webster Board of Commissioners approved the meeting agenda and the Aug. 7 minutes and reviewed the town’s August finances at its Sept. 4 meeting at Webster Town Hall.
Commissioner Brandon Core moved to approve the meeting agenda; Vice Mayor Leigh Anne Young seconded and the motion carried, the board recorded. Vice Mayor Young then moved to approve the August minutes; Commissioner Core seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
Town Clerk Stephanie Gibson reported that August expenditures totaled $4,098.26 and August revenues were $9,613.59. Account balances as of Aug. 31 were $143,892.00 in the First Bank Business Essentials account and $313,627.27 in the First Bank Money Market account. Gibson said the full financial statements will be emailed after the meeting and presented for formal approval at the Oct. 2 meeting.
Commissioner Danell Moses moved to adjourn; the meeting adjourned at 7:00 p.m. The board set its next business meeting for Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. at Webster Town Hall.
Attendance listed Mayor Tracy Rodes, Vice Mayor Leigh Anne Young, members Allen Davis, Danell Moses and Brandon Core, and Town Clerk Stephanie Gibson. Public attendees listed in the minutes included Amy Davis, Daniel Riggs and Postmaster Shannon Brink.
