Humboldt County supervisors approve agenda, minutes; declare April Child Abuse Prevention Month and accept farm updates

The Humboldt County Board of Supervisors approved several routine and ceremonial items during its March 31, 2025 meeting, including a proclamation recognizing April as National Child Abuse Prevention Month and acceptance of multiple farm manure management plan (MMP) short-form updates.
The meeting opened with a motion by Supervisor Reimers, seconded by Supervisor Rasmussen, to approve the agenda; the motion was adopted unanimously. The board then approved the March 24, 2025 minutes on a motion by Supervisor Loney, seconded by Supervisor Carpenter.
Angela Wesselink of Building Families Parent Connections spoke to the board about National Child Abuse Prevention Month; the board declared April as National Child Abuse Prevention Month on a motion moved by Reimers and seconded by Rasmussen, carried with all voting "aye." The minutes do not include the text of a proclamation.
The board also approved a quote for mower tractors for FY2026 (motion by Loney, seconded by Rasmussen) and accepted and placed on file the 2025 MMP Short Form annual updates for multiple sites: Monte Toohey Site 2 (#66631), Mike Ludwig (site numbers #58157, #67093, #71455), Steve Thul (site #67648), Bradgate Finisher (site #59377), ALN Pork/Alex Nelson (site #71187) and Tom Berte (site #67708). These filings were accepted on a motion recorded in the minutes and carried unanimously.
The board adjourned at 9:27 a.m. on a motion by Supervisor Loney, seconded by Supervisor Reimers.
